Summer's Out for the School Year!

We are mid-way through a successful first week of school, though both kids are beyond exhausted already – thinking is tough work! Megan had no growing pains starting first grade...no tears, she didn't bat an eye at eating lunch at school and her fear of gym has miraculously disappeared (as of one gym class). Michael is stressed because his two little friends-that-are-girls from last year seem to spend all their time whispering and not playing with him the same way. He was mortified when I suggested that they were probably whispering about how CUUUUTE he is. He said 'relationships are gross.' I agreed that they probably are when you are a 9 year old boy, but he might change his mind later. Or not, whatever suits him.
